Licensing & Verification
What's the difference between a Class A, B, and C contractor license?
Class A is for general engineering (highways, bridges, utilities). Class B is for general building contractors who manage at least two unrelated trades on a project. Class C covers 42 specialty trades — roofing (C-39), electrical (C-10), plumbing (C-36), HVAC (C-20), and so on.
